The Re-Boost Collagen smooth & bright eye cream from the range underwent thorough and controlled testing in November at a Polish laboratory specializing in dermatological testing.

Twenty volunteers tested the product according to provided instructions over a four-week period, using the cream daily. During the test period, participants refrained from using any other eye area products. After the study, the testers filled out a questionnaire about the product.

The skin condition of ten volunteers was assessed by a dermatologist, and instrumental analyses were conducted to measure skin brightness, elasticity, and wrinkle length and depth. Additionally, selected participants’ under-eye areas were photographed to visually demonstrate the reduction of dark circles.

First, let’s take a look at how the JOIK cream affected dark under-eye circles.

Out of the 20 participants, 16 had some degree of issues with dark circles under their eyes.

The intensity of the skin color around the eyes was measured using a Konica Minolta 600D spectrophotometer.

The test consisted of spectrophotometric measurement of the color intensity of the skin around the eyes in the L*a*b color space. The study determined the “L” parameter indicating the intensity of skin tinting/color (effect after regular 4-week application),

After 4 weeks of regular application of the cream, the spectrophotometrically measured “L” increased by 1.43 j in 7 of 10 volunteers. p. (2%), which confirms the effect of brightening dark circles under the eves, thereby evening out the skin tone under the eves, which is very well visualized by the before & after photos of eye area.

Next, let’s examine the cream’s effect on wrinkles around the eyes.

Measurements of wrinkle depth and length were conducted using the Courage + Khazaka Visioline VL 650 system. The skin surface was replicated using a silicone polymer and analyzed with Visioline VL 650 software, following PB 20/DA guidelines.

Visualization of the measurement results is provided below, where examples of selected graphic images of the skin surface around the eyes taken with the silicone replica are included. The photos included, are graphic images generated directly from the VISIOLINE VL650 program and their spatial images of the so-called. 3D, made in the area of wrinkles.

Third, we examined whether and to what extent the skin elasticity around the eyes improved.

Skin elasticity in the eye area was measured using the Courage + Khazaka Cutometer MPA 580 device.

Summarizing the results, we found that skin elasticity around the eyes improved in 9 out of 10 volunteers, with increases ranging from 6% to 23%. The average improvement was 16% compared to the initial measurements.
