Focus on Foundation
This spring we launched our colour cosmetics line to a very warm welcome. Now we’ve just finished a very hot summer and are looking forward to the season of events and parties. So it’s about time to talk a little bit more about make up base and our silky luminous foundations.

Caring make-up

When creating our make-up line our main goal was to create products that are good for skin. It’s especially important in case of foundation, since it is essentially cream that you apply to your skin almost on a daily basis. Skin welfare is of utmost importance so we should not underestimate the presence of active ingredients in our products. Hyaluronic acid, Schisandra Chinensis extract and organic argan oil contained in our foundation hydrate, firm and help restore skin’s elasticity. Natural origin minerals even skintone, blur imperfections and give skin a delicate illuminating glow.

Buildable base

The ohter key aspect for us was natural look. JOIK foundations offer medium coverage, can be applied layer by layer and blend seamlessly into skin providing satin glow for a naturally flawless-looking skin. What does it mean, if foundation is buildable and medium coverage? Simply put we wanted to create product, with which one can achieve very natural daily make-up so that you don’t even look made up, just glowy and fresh-faced. However, if one wishes to achieve stronger make-up with more coverage, one can simply apply another layer of foundation or use make-up sponge and more product when applying the foundation. Thanks to the light-weight composition, which does not clog pores, you can even add more foundation during the day.

Perfect makeup base with little effort

- Before applying foundation we suggest using your favourite daily moisturiser. User experience shows that if your skin is not especially dry, you can even apply the foundation without base cream as it contains quite a lot of moisturising ingredients.
- If you wish you can also use primer but since we’re all about natural look, it’s surely not necessary. Light reflecting minerals already do the job of evening out skin, blurring smaller imperfections, making fine lines less visible and offering luminous complexion.
- JOIK Foundation does not need setting with powder but if you still wish to do so we suggest using mineral powders. However, instead we suggest carrying around JOIK blotting papers to gently pat your skin to remove exess oiliness.

Good tip 1: light-refelecting minerals in JOIK Foundation give especially great effect on photos – skin looks well-rested and healthy.
Good tip 2: if your skin is prone to redness, apply 1 layer of foundation all over the face and an extra layer of cheeks and nose.
