The year was 2020 and JOIK Organic range had been on the market for a year and had won the hearts of customers, when we started thinking of creating our own make-up range. When you can already pamper your skin with natural certified products, why shouldn’t colour cosmetics offer the same? Natural cosmetics market is continuously growing in the world, but once you start searching for certified natural make-up ranges, there aren’t so many available.
We aspired to create a thought-out capsule collection containing multifunctional products suitable for eveyday use, that are great for light daily make-up as well as evening look. Our leading keywords were: natural, certified, caring, multifunktional, buildable, suitable for all ages, enhancing natural beauty, glamour from nature, less is more.
For 2 long years we were busy with product development and tested and tried numeorous prototypes. At the end of 2021 we added a couple of make-up products to our advent calendar for wider audiences to test and try. The reception was very good and we got a ton of questions about when our make-up range will be available. Now, in 2022 spring the time has finally come.

Birth of JOIK Organic Beauty

We have launched 100% natural, certified and vegan make up line called JOIK Organic Beauty. Thought-out capsule collection includes multifunctional products for perfect skin-friendly make-up routine. Luminous Foundation blends seamlessly into skin and provides satin glow for a naturally flawless-looking skin; three-in-one make-up stick can be used on cheeks, lips and eyes; highlighter and bronzer sticks help contour your face; and colour, gloss & lip oil gives lips a nice shine and soft semi-transparent colour. All products contain natural active ingredients and extracts and the colour comes among others from minerals, radish and potato.

Caring buildable make-up

Our main goal was to create products that are good for skin. But also to dissipate the misconception that natural makeup products are incapable of delivering glamorous results. That might have been true, like, a decade ago, but not today. Natural pigments offer excellent coverage and are easy to apply. We wanted to create buildable make-up, so you can decide how strong you want your make-up to be. If you want natural result and enhance your own beauty - our products are ideal for that. Want a stronger and more dramatic evening make-up - just use the same product more or apply differently. For instance, our luminous foundation offers medium coverage, but for full coverage you can just apply 2 layers or instead of fingers use a make-up sponge or special brush. Create a barely noticable blush line on your cheeks by buffing stick line with a brush or draw more noticeable contours working with the 3-in-1 stick. It’s also great that you can add make-up during the day without it being heavy on your skin.
Skin welfare is of utmost importance so we should not underestimate the presence of active ingredients in our products. Hyaluronic acid, Schisandra Chinensis extract and organic argan oil contained in our foundation hydrate, firm and help restore skin’s elasticity. Natural origin minerals even skintone, blur imperfections and give skin a delicate illuminating glow.

Less products, easier life

Another important aspect in the developing process was to create sustainable, multifunctional products to diminish the number of cosmetic products in our everyday use. This is better for environment and also decreases clutter in our make-up bag. Our collection includes products that can be used on a daily basis and for various effects. Our most multi-use product is surely the creamy 3-in-1 make-up stick that can be used on cheeks, lips and eyelids. Lip make-up can be finished by applying our gloss and care lip oil. Wild mango kernel butter and organic jojoba oil soften and nourish lips, natural origin minerals and herbal colourants give lips a shiny gloss and eye-catching colour without a sticky feeling.
For contouring the face we offer highlighter and bronzer stick. A creamy highlighter stick gives a soft, subtle dewy light to areas of your face you want to emphasise. Apply on the high points of your face - brow bones, upper cheekbones, inner corner of eyes, bridge of nose, forehead and chin. Bronzer stick gives skin a soft and natural sun kissed look and can be appleid on cheekbones, temples, hairline, jawline and eyelids. You can blend with either your fingers or a brush.
